Australian Polli Penny Farthing Jewelry

TS_polli-penny-farthings.jpg

Polli is an eco-friendly, low CO2-certified jewelry company whose designers, Maja Rose and Tess Lloyd, ride bikes to their studio in Stanmore, Australia. So it's no surprise that the girls have crafted these earrings and necklaces made to look like the first bicycle: a high, 19th-century iteration called the penny-farthing because it resembled British coins (the big wheel being the penny, the small wheel, the farthing). Polli's more modern Tandem necklace (top) features the designers' Australian cattle dog, Duffy, riding with a baguette and a bottle of wine.
