Tuesday, we took a grand tour of Kimpton's Eventi Hotel in North Chelsea with Director of Sales and Marketing, Shannon Spillett, and artist Barbara Nessim, whom Kimpton Hotels commissioned to produce a collection of art for the property. Photographer Karl Rudisill was nice enough to join us, and snapped these exclusive photos of the property for Word of Mouth. Want to check out Barbara's 28-foot digital print on brushed aluminum and the interior architecture of designer Colum McCartan in person? You can snag 15 percent off the going rate if you book by May 31.

Views from the hotel are fantastic, either of the Empire State Building or west to the Hudson.

Marble bathrooms feature one of Barbara's works and Etro amenities.

Chatting with Barbara about the room, with her piece, "Thinking of You," above the minibar.

Red "do not disturb" lamps are a high-tech touch.

The view down Sixth Avenue.

The room's work area, here set up with the hotel's pet amenities. Eventi doesn't charge a fee for bringing your pup.

The fifth-floor terrace overlooks Sixth Avenue.

Admiring Barbara's "The Current Past" on the third floor.

Barbara dashed off a portrait of her daughter Leah on the conference room whiteboard.

The lobby is full of quirks, like this ceiling-mounted painting.
