From August 14 to 31, the streets of Buenos Aires provide endless opportunities to watch, listen, learn, and dance in celebration of the Buenos Aires Tango Festival and Dance World Cup.

The fiesta attracts world-renowned dancers and musicians to BA to perform for the public, while porteños and visitors come together to dance through the night in the sultry social scene of the city's milongas. With an array of free tango concerts, exhibitions, lectures, and classes for both professionals and first-timers, you won't need to look hard to find the rhythm of the 2-4 beat. Known as the Broadway of Buenos Aires, Corrientes Avenue is the place to go for authentic tango clubs, famous theaters and late-, late-night cafés.

While we might typically suggest hitting La Viruta for beginner classes or Esquina Carlos Gardel and Rojo Tango for professional shows, you just can't beat stumbling upon passionate (not to mention free!) performances while walking the streets of the city where it all started.

The final rounds of the Dance World Cup will be held on August 30-31 at the Luna Park Stadium downtown.
