Lucasfilm is set to break ground in Singapore's technology base, Fusionopolis, where a new studio will stand eight stories high and house the company's digital production businesses there. LucasAnimation, LucasArts Games, and Industrial Light & Magic will all have space in the new facility.
Perhaps most interesting is that George Lucas' (possibly 3D) new film will be produced there. Before this, Star Wars: The Clone Wars was the only other, ahem, Lucas film that the city's artists helped produce. If this still is any guide, the future looks promising.
